Random Things

Hello again! I know it has been a while since I have posted anything, so I'm making this incredibly long post all about what has happened in the last few months.

On the last day of September, my dad and I tested our new kayaks. We had so much fun! The yellow kayak that I'm standing next to is mine- I named it Banana Boat!

Some time in the first week of October, my mom and I were coming home from the grocery store and we saw this man holding a cross. In Luke 14, Jesus said to a crowd to pick up a cross and follow Him. I've always wondered what He meant by that- should we interpret it literally, and pick up real crosses, or was the cross he was talking about just our faith in Him, and rather than carrying real crosses, we pray and love others in our walk with Him? This man decided to carry around a real cross. I think this is a beautiful way to share the good news with people. Kudos to him!

Another cool thing that happened recently- I became a godmother to my best friend's new hedgehog! Isn't Pickles so cute? He will relax his quills so people can hold him. I can now proudly say that I have held a hedgehog!
